At present, domestic power-type lighting-levelLED chip products have made great progress in performances such as light efficiency, lifespan and reliability , developed a series of key process technologies such as graphic substrates, transparent electrodes and omnidirectional mirrors.

LED ChipIndustry as an important part of the LED industry chain, its performance directly determines The development of LED industry. At present, domestic power-type lighting-level LED chip products have made great progress in performances such as light efficiency, lifespan and reliability, and developed a series of key process technologies such as patterned substrates, transparent electrodes and omnidirectional mirrors. Domestic chips are expected to gradually penetrate and eventually replace imported chips in many application fields with their superior performance and competitive price advantage.

At this stage, China's LED chip industry is mainly formed by Sanan Optoelectronics, Huacan Optoelectronics, Dehao Runda, Tongfang, Aoyang Shunchang, Qianzhao Optoelectronics and other major chip manufacturers in the supply chain; at the same time, with Silicon Substrate Breakthrough in LED technology, with crystal energy Chip companies represented by optoelectronics are expected to find another way.

In recent years, due to the vicious competition of “price war” and“crazy expansion”, upstream Chip product prices have also repeatedly bottomed out. In 2016, as the LED industry recovered and the rate of capacity expansion slowed down, chip manufacturers such as Epistar and Sanan raised prices one after another, leading the LED industry to hang on to a round of "price hikes".

Entering 2017, the concentration of the LED industry has been further improved, and the industrial competition has become more rational. They have all taken different paths of development.

Sanan Optoelectronics' semi-annual report increased by 50%

Sanan Optoelectronics released its semi-annual report on the evening of the 10th, in the first half of 2017, the company achieved sales revenue of 4.067 billion yuan, a year-on-year An increase of 46.37%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 1.515 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 56.76%. The deducted non-net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 1.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 103.04%.

In the first half of the year, the demand for LED chips was strong, the price remained stable, the equipment was in full production, and the supply was still in short supply. During the reporting period, the MOCVD equipment of Xiamen Sanan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (Phase II), the company's fund-raising project, is gradually arriving at the factory, and the production capacity will be gradually released from the third quarter.

Anrui Optoelectronics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics, is also stepping up its layout, expanding production capacity, and actively supporting automotive lighting business. manufacturers, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent increase in market share.

At present, Sanan Optoelectronics produces LED chips in different fields and different bands according to the characteristics of the market. It has a wide range of applications, providing downstream customers with more choices and more cost-effective products, which can meet the needs of customers at different levels.

Aoyang Shunchang plans to 1.7 billion to expand LED chip production

On the evening of August 7, Aoyang Shunchang announced that the company's holding subsidiary Huaian Aoyang Shunchang Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huai'an Optoelectronics") plans to implement the LED epitaxial wafer and chip expansion project. On the basis of Huai'an Optoelectronics' existing production capacity, the company's LED epitaxial wafer and chip annual production capacity will be expanded to 16.5 million pieces (equivalent to two inch film).

The overall scale of this expansion project is an annual output of 12 million epitaxial wafers and chips, with a total investment of about RMB 17 billion.

Aoyang Shunchang uses the existing conditions of the LED Phase II project site, funds and supporting facilities to build a production capacity of 4.5 million pieces , is expected to be completed by the end of 2017; another 7.5 million pieces of production capacity need to be rebuilt and implemented, which is expected to be completed within 2 years. All expansion projects are implemented

Later, the company will form an annual output of 16.5 million epitaxial wafers and chips.

Cree and Emson resolve patent dispute

A few days ago, Cree issued a press release saying that the company has cooperated with E. Mishan and Sons (“Emson&rdquo ;) Reached a confidential settlement of patent infringement lawsuit. In addition, Emson agreed to enter into an exclusive supply agreement with the company to source Cree high-power LEDs for its high-performance tactical flashlights.

According to data, On November 14, 2016, CREE filed a lawsuit against the United States District Court in Massachusetts. Company Emson's complaint alleges that Emson flashlight products infringe its LED technology patents, including Bell + Howell Taclight.

“Cree is pleased with the outcome of this lawsuit that its intellectual property has been protected,” Dave Emerson, Cree Efforts will continue to protect consumers and suppliers from unauthorized LEDs in various applications and markets. We look forward to working with Emson to provide quality products including Cree high quality LED chips and assemblies.

After years of intensive research and development, Cree has developed a wide range ofLED Patents combination, and many patents Pending.

Philips Lighting released LED PAR30 spotlight

Recently, Philips Lighting released a new generation of commercial LED PAR30 spotlights, which meet the requirements of 70W ceramic metal halide lamps in terms of lumen and color temperature replacement needs. This high-brightness, high-efficiency, and high-quality product will lead commercial PAR spotlights into the LED era with its excellent heat dissipation, safety, and accuracy.

The previous technology limited the replacement of traditional ceramic metal halide lamps by LEDs in terms of light efficiency and heat dissipation, and delayed commercial use. LED application promotion in the lighting field.

The new generation of commercial LED PAR30 spotlights launched by Philips Lighting this time has a power of only 40W and a total lumens of up to 4500 lumens , color temperature 3000K, can replace 70W ceramic metal halide lamp.

For better light-gathering performance, it is necessary to use a point light source with a smaller size and higher brightness. >COB chips cannot meet the design requirements. This time, Philips Lighting specially customized COB chips on ceramic substrates. This pioneering high-density COB chip has a light efficiency of up to 150 lumens/watt.

The launch of Philips' new generation of commercial LED PAR30 spotlights with high brightness and high luminous efficiency will lead commercial PAR lighting. The lamp has entered a more energy-efficient and efficient LED era.

Wuxi The second phase of the LED factory broke ground

On August 8, the ground breaking ceremony of the second phase expansion project of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Wuxi factory was successfully held at the OSRAM factory in Wuxi High-tech Zone .

Osram Wuxi factory was officially put into operation in 2014. This factory is the first LED after Osram invested in China. The end factory is also the second LED back-end factory that Osram has invested in the world. With the booming global market demand for Osram's LED products, Osram has launched the second phase expansion project of the Wuxi factory. The expansion project will more than double existing production capacity and add more than 2,000 jobs.

According to Lim Khoon Teck, general manager of Osram Opto Semiconductors, the second phase of the Wuxi plant is expected to be put into production in early 2019. The construction of the second phase of the project will further strengthen Osram's leadership in the Chinese LED market and promote the local economic development in Wuxi.

The success of the first-phase project of the Wuxi factory and the start of the second-phase expansion project have made the Wuxi factory the focus of Osram Opto Semiconductors' development in China , has become the core representative of China's localization strategy. Osram is committed to building the Wuxi factory into a first-class Osram Opto Semiconductors production base in China and even in Asia that can be imitated and learned.
